TAG Aerospace designs Composite Winglet

TAG investigated an all composite general aviation winglet to improve cruise, takeoff and stall performance of a new general aviation aircraft. The winglet shape was derived using the panel method aerodynamic analysis in conjunction with CFD. The new winglet was shown to improve lift, cruise and stall characteristics of the new aircraft as compared to the base wing design.
